The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides this valuable service to assist NDIS participants with their day-to-day activities, which they might find challenging to handle independently. Tasks covered may include cooking, cleaning, shopping, and maintaining their household.

How Do I Access This Service?

Accessing these daily tasks and shared living supports is a straightforward process for NDIS participants. Participants can incorporate this service into their NDIS plan by discussing their specific needs with their support coordinator or planner. Furthermore, participants can easily find registered providers offering this service through the NDIS provider portal or by contacting the NDIS contact centre. APR Care is currently registered to provide this service

Examples of how APR Care can assist you with Daily Living:

  • Assistance with cooking and meal preparation, including meal planning, grocery shopping, and food preparation (Our facilities operate 24/7!).

  • Help with cleaning, including dusting, vacuuming, and washing dishes.

  • Support with laundry, including washing, drying, and folding clothes.

  • Help with managing finances, including budgeting and paying bills.

  • Support with managing medications, including reminders and administering medication.

  • Assistance with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.

  • Help with transportation (Our APR Vans are wheelchair accessible!)

  • Accompanying participants to appointments or social events.

  • Support with communication, including using assistive technology or communicating with others.

  • Help with social and recreational activities, including support with hobbies, interests, and social connections.
